A leading U.S.-based online home goods retailer needed a logistics partner in Türkiye that could manage supplier coordination, inbound cargo flow, warehouse consolidation, export planning, and shipment execution for carpet products sourced from manufacturers in Gaziantep.
The operation required close coordination across multiple suppliers, purchase orders, loading requests, warehouse activity, and export schedules. Because the retailer’s carpet supply chain involved several manufacturers and different shipment requirements, the company needed more than transportation support. It needed an operating partner that could create structure around inbound movement, consolidate cargo efficiently, maintain visibility across requests, and adapt the model as business needs changed.
ATA supported the retailer by managing the full inbound, shipment, and consolidation process for carpets received from manufacturers in Gaziantep. Based on the retailer’s purchase orders and new loading requests, ATA coordinated directly with the relevant suppliers, organized inbound cargo movement, and consolidated products at a warehouse operation established in Mersin.
To improve coordination and execution, ATA integrated its warehouse management software with the retailer’s system. This allowed new loading requests to flow into the operational process more efficiently and helped support better alignment between purchase order activity, supplier readiness, warehouse handling, and export planning.
Once cargo arrived at the Mersin warehouse, ATA managed consolidation based on consignee requirements. Depending on the shipment need, cargo was exported either partially or as part of consolidated shipments. This gave the retailer greater flexibility in how inventory moved from Türkiye to destination markets while helping improve shipment planning and warehouse utilization.
Throughout the project, ATA also developed ongoing business improvement models and provided regular reporting to support better decision-making. These reporting processes helped the retailer monitor operational activity, track shipment progress, review supplier coordination, and identify opportunities to improve the overall export flow.
When the retailer later decided to close the warehouse operation, ATA adapted the logistics model to support the company’s new requirements. At the retailer’s request, ATA continued managing export operations directly from the related suppliers on a full container load basis. This allowed the retailer to maintain continuity in its Türkiye export program without relying on the previous warehouse consolidation structure.
Today, ATA continues to manage supplier-direct export operations for the retailer’s carpet shipments through the ports of Mersin, İzmir, and Istanbul. New shipment requests are tracked through a shared platform used jointly with the retailer, allowing ATA to review newly added shipment details, contact the appropriate suppliers, coordinate cargo readiness, and organize the export operation accordingly.
By combining supplier coordination, warehouse consolidation, system integration, export execution, and adaptive operational support, ATA helped the retailer build a more controlled and flexible logistics model for its carpet supply chain in Türkiye.
The engagement demonstrates ATA’s ability to support complex retail supply chains with hands-on execution, regional supplier coordination, digital integration, and scalable export management across changing business conditions.
